Marcin Animucki – President
A manager with nearly 20 years of experience in heading sports organizations and an expert in the field of media law, both domestic and international.
He has been involved with Ekstraklasa S.A. since 2012. He has been the President of the Board since 2017, and previously acted as the Vice-President. At Ekstraklasa, he is responsible for the implementation of business ventures and strategic processes, including these related to the development and coordination of media contracts and the sale of centralized marketing rights. Over the recent years, under direct involvement of Marcin Animucki, Ekstraklasa has been breaking records for the value of sold TV broadcasting and marketing rights. The latest contract concluded during the pandemic in the summer of 2020, which is valid until the 2022/23 season, provides the clubs with revenues at the same all-time-high level as before the pandemic.
Marcin Animucki is also in charge of the Ekstraklasa technological development program. Owing to investments in this field, e.g., in the 4K, UHD and HDR broadcasting technologies and the league’s own OTT platform, Ekstraklasa is recognized as one of the most technologically advanced football leagues in Europe.
Since 2018, he has been a member of the board of European Leagues – an organization associating over 30 football leagues from the entire continent – as the only representative of CEE countries. In addition, he has been a member of the UEFA Fair Play and Social Responsibility Committee since 2019, and a member of the UEFA/European Leagues Working Group on Business Development since 2020.
Within the years 2009-2016, he was a member of the board of the Polish FA, and from 2008 to 2012 he acted as the President of the Board of RTS Widzew Łódź FC. He graduated from the Faculty of Law and Administration at the University of Warsaw and is a PhD student at the Leon Koźmiński University in Warsaw.
Marcin Mastalerek - Vice president
Under the management board, Marcin Mastalerek is responsible for public affairs communication and social and image communication. The areas of activity of the vice president are also security and cooperation with the government, local governments and clubs in the field of building infrastructure for the development of youth football.
Marcin Mastalerek was previously associated with PKN Orlen, where in the years 2016-2017 he worked as the executive director for corporate communications. In the years 2011-2015 he was a deputy to the Seym of the Republic of Poland, previously as a councilor he was also a member of the regional council of the Lodz region. He graduated from International Relations at the University of Szczecin.
