The ceremonial conclusion of the PKO Bank Polski Ekstraklasa season was an occasion to announce the best players and coach of the 2025/26 season. During the Wielka Gala Ekstraklasy, Lech Poznań celebrated triumph for the second year in a row as Polish champions.
Fans of Lech Poznań could take satisfaction not only from the ceremonial celebration of their club's 10th championship title, but also from two individual awards. As in the previous year, the coach of the season was Niels Frederiksen, who received his award from the Poland national team manager – Jan Urban. Meanwhile, the Minister of Sport and Tourism, Jakub Rutnicki, honoured the defender of the season competing in the colours of Kolejorz - Wojciech Mońka.
Two individual PKO Bank Polski Ekstraklasa awards for the 2025/26 season also went to GKS Katowice – both to Bartosz Nowak, including the prestigious title of player of the season, which he received from Cezary Kulesza, President of the Polish Football Association. The award for midfielder of the season was presented to him by Izabela Karolczyk – Szafrańska, chief marketing officer of the InPost group. Its president, Rafał Brzoska, also announced the joining of Inpost to the group of Official Partners of Ekstraklasa.
Karol Czubak from Motor Lublin also took to the stage twice, having been named striker of the season, and received his award from Patrycja Balcerzak – a former Poland women's football international, currently sporting director of the women's football department at RTS Widzew Łódź. The player also received the Turbokozak award.
The honour of goalkeeper of the season was bestowed upon Xavier Dziekoński from Korona Kielce by Michał Kołodziejczyk, head of the sports editorial department at CANAL+, while the PKO Bank Polski Young Player of the Season award was presented to Marcel Reguła from KGHM Zagłębie Lubin by the deputy president of the bank's management board, Michał Sobolewski. The LOTTO Number of the Season statuette was presented by Artur Kapelko, a member of the management board of Totalizator Sportowy. This title was awarded to Jagiellonia Białystok player Jesus Imaz for 110 goals, which means he has become the most prolific foreign player in the history of Ekstraklasa. The award was collected on behalf of the player by Jagiellonia's main shareholder, Wojciech Strzałkowski.
The Wielka Gala Ekstraklasy also provided extraordinary moments of emotion connected with the induction of further great names into the Ekstraklasa Gallery of Legends, hosted by Marcin Animucki, president of the management board of Ekstraklasa SA, who served as the evening's host. Those gathered at the gala honoured the recently deceased Jacek Magiera with applause, represented by his brother Marek. Also officially inducted into the league's Gallery of Legends were: Marek Chojnacki, Tomasz Wieszczycki, Krzysztof Dowhań and Andrzej Janisz.
The Wielka Gala Ekstraklasy was, as every year, a celebration for all lovers of Polish football. It brought together the most important figures from the 18 Ekstraklasa clubs, including the Polish champions' squad, Lech Poznań, representatives of PZPN and many other players, coaches and officials who have made significant contributions to Polish football. Representatives of the Ministry of Sport and Tourism also attended the gala, along with league partners, including Canal+ and TVP as broadcasters, and sponsors led by title partner PKO Bank Polski and main partner Totalizator Sportowy, owner of the LOTTO brand. Fans were able to watch the event live thanks to broadcasts on television and online.
