The new PKO Bank Polski Ekstraklasa season will be inaugurated on 24 July with a match featuring the newcomer from Kraków in Radom at 18:00, where Radomiak will play against Wieczysta. As part of Super Friday at 20:30, the match Pogoń Szczecin - Legia Warszawa will take place.
Before the matches of the opening round, four teams Lech Poznań, Górnik Zabrze, Raków Częstochowa and GKS Katowice will play their first matches in the II qualifying round of the Champions League and the Conference League. The fifth cup representative - Jagiellonia Białystok will begin their European campaign from the III qualifying round of the Europa League, with matches taking place before the 3rd and before the 4th round of PKO Bank Polski Ekstraklasa.
- As every year, the schedule for the first part of the Ekstraklasa season is influenced by the European qualifying rounds and the performances of Polish clubs on the international stage. This season, five teams from Ekstraklasa will participate in the qualifying rounds for the first time. We support all our representatives in hoping that, as in previous years, they will achieve great results and accumulate points for the national and club UEFA ranking - says Marcin Stefański, Chief Operating Officer of Ekstraklasa SA.
- The participants in the Champions League qualifying rounds, namely Lech Poznań and Górnik Zabrze, will play their first-round Ekstraklasa matches on Saturday, while the matches of Raków Częstochowa and GKS Katowice, due to their participation in the Conference League qualifying rounds, will take place on Sunday. TVP Sport will broadcast the Widzew Łódź - Motor Lublin match - adds Marcin Stefański.
In the 2026/2027 season, as in previous competitions, our cup representatives have the option to postpone two league matches during the qualifying rounds. This applies to one match during the Q2 and Q3 rounds and one match between the play-off fixtures.
