Round number 34 concluded the PKO Bank Polski Ekstraklasa 2025/2026 season. It brought as many as 32 goals, meaning an average of 3.56 per match! The average for the entire competition was thus pushed up from 2.71 to a level of 2.74 goals per match.
It was already known since last Saturday that the Polish championship would go to Lech Poznań. Ultimately, no reshuffling took place in the immediate vicinity of that team either. The next four clubs collected a total of ten points, which meant all of them maintained their positions held before this round of matches. In this way, Górnik Zabrze found itself in the TOP-2 of the table for the first time since the 1990/1991 edition. This team spent the most time in that area of the standings (18 rounds) in the previous campaign. Furthermore, Jagiellonia Białystok finished on the podium for the third consecutive season. In the 21st century, such streaks had only been achieved by: Lech, Wisła Kraków, Legia Warszawa, and Raków Częstochowa. The medal winners along with GKS Katowice complete the group of five cup competitors from PKO Bank Polski Ekstraklasa for the next edition of continental competition.
The final round also decided the fate of relegation. Had Lechia Gdańsk beaten Bruk-Bet Termalika Nieciecza, they would have stayed in the league at the expense of Piast Gliwice. In the end, however, the trip near Tarnów ended in a 2:3 defeat for the Lions of the North. As a consolation, they were left with the top scorer title for Tomas Bobček. The Slovak finished the season with a brace. This allowed him to reach the twenty-goal mark. He beat the best Pole in that regard — Karol Czubak — by two goals.
